and it is Narayan.

“If I can bribe you with food, will you come over in an hour and listen to our new tracks?”

Now, I can never deny free food, nor can I ever deny helping him out with anything involving TEC. So I get up, get ready, and head over.

Their new stuff is going to be really great. I’m really excited to hear the finished product of all of the demos he had me listen to.

I sat on his bed and kind of looked around remembering when I used to be in that same exact place doing pretty much the same exact thing all of the time, except it would end in kisses.

This time it ended in us getting Thai food! Yay!

So when we sat down at the table, he squeezed in next to me in the booth

(which is something I never really was crazy about when there’s just the two of us…but it doesn’t make a difference in my meal or in conversation)

and we had a pretty delightful conversation. He asked if I had been on a date yet, he told me about his dating experiences. We were casual and fun.

The main male romantic influences in my life are still two of my closest friends. When Nar and I touched on this topic he replied, “Well you are just a lot cooler to talk to than my other exes. You can speak ‘guy’. There’s all of these barriers you have to swim through to get to real conversation in a girl… I don’t know… you just get right to it.”

Then it went into how I’ve become kind of heartless with a smile on my face, which is totally cool with me.

With that, we talked for a while and then went our separate ways!

Yay for new music, free food, and un-awkward conversation!
